Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades to gear increase its base stats, and sometimes increases its other features. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random augmentations applied.
The most powerful racial Shield Razortail For instance, it is frequently upgraded to enhance its lightning absorption function in PvP and/or provide additional defenses to missile-based builds in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable over the unupgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens can be used to reroll an item you have acquired like armor, weapon or ring. This replaces the item with another of the same kind however with different bonuses. Reroll tokens are an economical method of upgrading equipment. However, they do not retain the same level as the original item and any resources wasted won't be compensated for.
The survivors can get tokens to reroll in many ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in chests and crates or buy them at the market for $150 each. Reroll tokens are used to change the attribute of a piece equipment, for example increasing its damage.
Players can roll equipment in three attributes, physical power, spell power and health. Physical power upgrades increase the damage that melee and weapons and spell power boosts rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades give the player additional health.
There are three kinds of Reroll tokens: upgrade, rare, and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item to a higher quality. To create them, you need a higher level token to reroll. Upgrades require a standard item. Rare upgrades require an item that is exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.
The marker for rerolling, unlike markers or tokens that are placed on action spaces, remains on the space till the next Success is to be rerolled. This allows you to not waste upgrades.
Blueprints are envelopes which appear at the beginning of every Preparation phase. They can be opened with Interact by grabbing on to them. Once they're opened, they display a full description and the icon of the relevant appliance or ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged for new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's store for a small amount of money.
In the end, you can move blueprints between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a run. This changes the blueprints that the restaurant's shop offers for rerolls, and those that are located in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons and armor, as well as accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that increase the level of an item by increasing its stats or characteristics. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. They can purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a cost. Additionally, players can acquire these stones by signing daily contracts.
To upgrade gear to upgrade gear, players must first locate the item then click the "level up button". This will display a list of the item's levels and what it will become after being leveled-up. It will also show the amount of Growth Stones needed to accomplish this. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade the item is determined by its rarity. Most often rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, while uncommon armor requires only one green or blue Growth Stone.
Once they have decided on the upgrade, players must then select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the appropriate cost. Once the requirements are fulfilled, the player may then click the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will raise the item's level by a certain percentage. Depending on the rarity of the item and rarity, the upgrade process could be as quick as a few seconds to minutes.
The upgrade process is also safe and doesn't impact the item's durability. This makes it an excellent method for players to get an advantage in battle without putting a strain on their bank account. Moreover, players can transfer the experience and advancement of an upgraded item to new gear by clicking on the "transfer" tab.
For new players, it can be difficult to acquire Growth Stones. There are many ways to acquire them. You can sign contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, get them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or collect them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Additionally, players can break down the higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is an optional feature that lets players increase the stats of their weapons armor, helms and trinkets. It's done by the combination of an item with upgrades at the Upgrade Station and paying a fee of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade components will be consumed and the item will receive an upgrade to a higher level. This process can be repeated until the maximum level for an item has been reached.

Contrary to enchantments upgrade components don't stack with each other, but can only be added to a single item at a time. Each upgrade component will require the purchase of a certain amount of items as well as a certain equipment level.
The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left side, players can place an item to be upgraded. On the right side, previews show what the gear looks like at its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow when a player has sufficient materials will initiate the upgrade process.
An item of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each time it is upgraded the base stats of the item will increase by a small amount. The maximum level of an item is 19.
Once an item reaches the highest level, upgrades will not be available for it. When an item is upgraded to a certain track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer), upgrades for that track will have a discount.
Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can be inserted into armor, weapons trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to provide an additional bonus or effect while the equipment is in use. They can be purchased through vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so will destroy the previous upgrade, excluding for glyphs that can be replaced and removed at any time.
Requirements

The upgrade of an item can boost its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Additionally, some upgrade components have additional modifiers which can further improve the item's stats.
For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" increases base defense, and provides an additional 20% chance of blocking. The DPS "Wildfire", on the other hand, increases weapon damage.
Some items benefit from upgrading less because of their improved stats, but because it lets players get the maximum amount of value out of a perfect roll on the item. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for example is highly coveted by melee PvP communities and can be worth as much as 20-50 times that of the unupp'd version.

When you select an upgrade component to slot into an item the game will display an in-game window that lists the required requirements. The game will display the required requirements when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.
The game will add an item in your inventory when you have completed the prerequisites for an upgrade. The progress bar will then change to show you how far you are towards getting the upgrade completed. You can also check on the status of an item upgrade by visiting any NPC that upgrades items.
